What is cold brew? Hetauda's only cold brew, explained
Cold brew is coffee made with cold water over many hours instead of hot water in minutes. Here is how we make it at The Central Drip and why it tastes so smooth.

Walk up to our counter and you will see a tall glass tower with coffee dripping through it, one drop at a time. That is our cold drip, and it is the only cold brew you will find in Hetauda.
Cold water, a lot of patience
Normal coffee is brewed with hot water in a few minutes. Cold brew uses cold water instead, and slowly pulls the flavour out of the coffee over 12 to 24 hours.
Why it tastes different
Heat is what pulls out the bitter oils and sharp acids in coffee. Without heat, those mostly stay behind. The result is smooth, low in acid and naturally a little sweet, even before you add milk or sugar.
Because it is made cold, it is also at its best cold: over ice on a warm Hetauda afternoon.
Try it
Ask for a cold brew at the counter any day from 7am to 8pm. If you prefer hot coffee, try a pour over: same slow, by-hand idea, just with hot water.
