Single or double shot? How to choose

Most coffees at The Central Drip come with a single or double shot of espresso. What the difference is, and which one to pick.

A latte at The Central Drip

On our menu, most coffees have two prices: single and double. That is the number of espresso shots in your cup.

Single

One shot of espresso. In a milky drink like a latte, a single shot gives a soft, mild coffee flavour.

Double

Two shots. More coffee taste and more caffeine. In a cappuccino or latte, a double tastes much more like coffee and less like milk.

Which one?

If you find lattes too milky, go double. If coffee makes you jittery, or it is late in the day, stay single. For an americano, a double is a strong, full cup. For example, an americano is Rs 130 single and Rs 160 double.
